Juan José de Damborenea González en su calidad de representantes de ambas sociedades, ha decidido conceder el galardón a:

Por su labor trascendental en la investigación en Vidrios, Vitrocerámicos y Materiales producidos por la vía Sol-Gel, abarcando desde la investigación básica y fundamental al desarrollo tecnológico para la industria del vidrio.
El acto de entrega del Premio tendrá lugar durante el Congreso Nacional de Materiales, CNMAT 2022 (Ciudad Real, 28 junio / 1 julio 2022).
